Xiamen Bailu Sports Stadium

The construction of Xiamen Bailu Sports Stadium started in April 2020 and was completed in June 2023. Located on the seaside of Xiang'an District, Xiamen City, its unique functional positioning makes it the first sports stadium in China and the third in the world to achieve free conversion between professional football fields and comprehensive track and field fields. The project has a construction area of 180600 square meters. Externally, the venue is entirely white, with a design that incorporates local elements such as Minnan houses, waves, and egrets, creating a solemn yet spiritual atmosphere; The highest point of the building is 86.25 meters, with a north-south arch span of about 350 meters, and a landscape opening of about 80 meters wide formed on the south side. This is also the only sports stadium in China where you can watch the sea from the field.

The conversion method of the grandstand has been determined through continuous discussions among architectural and structural professionals, as well as consulting firms, to be shallow ring pit lifting and translational conversion. This approach draws on the mature experience of existing cases and has been optimized and upgraded in accordance with domestic regulatory requirements. The core of a convertible sports stadium lies in the design of the grandstand line of sight that takes into account both perspectives. After multiple iterations of different viewpoints and line of sight elevation, the relatively optimal grandstand line of sight elevation and profile elevation were finally determined, and the distance between the grandstand and the field sideline in football mode was optimized to ensure better viewing effects.

The Bailu Stadium innovatively hangs perforated aluminum plate sound-absorbing bodies with wind resistant unit structures under the roof steel truss, greatly optimizing the sound environment. Yuantai Derun mainly supplies steel for the main distribution of sound-absorbing panels in the stadium ceiling. The main structural beams are made of rectangular tubes of 60 * 120 * 3.75, and two elliptical holes are punched at each double head position. Then, hot-dip galvanizing treatment is carried out to ensure a zinc protection layer of 75 microns, followed by painting treatment. The paint film thickness is required to reach 120 microns. Jordan imported paint ensures maximum anti-corrosion effect. The 100 * 180 * 3.75 * 12 meter galvanizing requirement is 65 microns to ensure that the overall connection of the attraction sheet is smooth. The large surface is punched with 12 circular small holes evenly distributed on each side for connecting the sound-absorbing sheet. During the linking process, 1.2-meter angle steel is placed diagonally to maintain the overall integrity of the structure. The, During installation, a 100 * 180 * 3.75 rectangular tube with installed sound-absorbing panels was connected to the main keel for installation. In July 2023, under the wind and rain impact of the second strongest typhoon in Fujian, "Dusurei", the structurally strong Bailu Sports Stadium remained unharmed.
